FAQs continued.....

people manipulate each other on a daily basis. That smile for the grocery checker may manipulate her into being nicer to you than normal. The sharp words toward a co-worker may manipulate him into working to get you fired from your job. It’s how one uses the dark energies that determines what is positive or negative work. In some cases, what one believes to be beneficial work or White Magick can cause terrible harm. One must always consider all the possible consequences of ones actions before undertaking them.

Dark Magick can also be working with natural forces that nurture just as a seed is nurtured by the dark loam or a baby is nurtured in the dark womb. The New Moon is also called a Dark Moon and many people equate working with the Dark Moon as Dark Magick but this work is not always detrimental. This Moon phase is beneficial to decreasing or sending away negative influences.

I believe that I am cursed. How can I know for certain?

A. Some folks believe that they have been cursed and, to be sure, some have been. Others, frankly, curse themselves by procrastinating, not seizing opportunities, through negative thinking, making poor choices,  or other self-destructive or self-defeating behaviors.

If you have been going along in life with just the normal day-to-day challenges that we all have to deal with and, quite suddenly, everything goes wrong for you there’s a high probability that you have been cursed or hexed. A reading will usually help you determine if you have been cursed, if you are just going through a natural down-cycle, or if you have set yourself on this course through a series of bad decisions.

What about Karma and the Law of Three?

A. Karma is a concept little understood by Western minds and used all too casually to define what is better understood as cause and effect. What is more important to understand is that you must take responsibility for what you do and understand the possible consequences of your actions.

The Law of Three is a term taken from Wicca and the Wiccan Rede. While this is a worthy premise for right action, it is not in accordance with the laws of Nature. It says, more or less, that whatever you do will come back to you magnified three times. Consider the popular Butterfly Effect, however, that theorizes the flapping of a butterfly’s wings can ultimately cause a tornado. Hardly a magnification by three.

Furthermore, it is impossible to live by. One does not think of “an it harm none” when one brushes their teeth and kills millions of living microbes.

What is divination?

A. Divination is a means of ascertaining information using a myriad of techniques from scrying to Tarot card reading. Divination is different than fortune-telling in that in generally informs the querent of the conditions surrounding a situation rather than what the future has in store.

What divination methods do you use?

A. I use sortilege (divination using cards, bones, stones, etc.), scrying, astrology, pyschometry, the reading of omens and portents, dream interpretation, visions, necromancy, etc.

How often can I or should I have a reading?
A. Typically, readings should not be done more frequently than once a month or once a lunar cycle.

Questions about fees and services

What are my payment options?

A. I currently only accept payment through Pay Pal. From a very few long-time clients who have proven themselves reliable and trustworthy, I will accept money orders and checks.

Why did you decline my case?

A. From time to time I will decline a case. If I feel that the querent has psychological or medical issues that they have misidentified as a spiritual issue, I will decline the case and refer them to contact a psychologist or medical professional. I will decline a case if I feel that the querent is not being truthful with me or is solely requesting free services. I will also decline cases if my current workload is too great. If such is the case, I will refer the client to one of several reputable colleagues with whom I associate.

Why didn’t you get my payment through Pay Pal?

A. The typical reason that your payment did not go through Pay Pal is because you have used an incorrect email address for me when sending the payment. The email address to use in Pay Pal to send a payment to me is ferne13@sbcglobal.net .

What are your business hours?

A. My business hours are 11 AM to 4 PM, Pacific time, Monday through Thursday. Please be sure to calculate the time zone differences. Here is a link to a good Internet site for calculating time zone differences: http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/

How do I contact you?

A. The best way to contact me is via email. There are several places throughout the Mystic Mirror web site where you can click to email me. You can also use the form on the Contact page. Please allow me 24 hours to get back to you.
